Agenda

  • Participation Status and Voting rights reminder
  • Spec Review sub committee
    • Security HC has signoff on all specifications, need to refresh the list of folks willing to help review non-security specifications
    • Andrew Dellow to add a page to confluence listing the volunteers to review, and track the reviews
  • Merging the uSC SIG into the RTI SIG
    • uSC feel there isn't sufficient ongoing activity to justify a SIG, so proposal is to merge this into the RTI SIG. Alternatively the Security HC could also host these discussions. Are leakage considerations really part of RTI ? What about the CFI SIG, this seems definitely part of RTI ?
    • Andrew Dellow to check the procedure to request closure of the SIG
    • Agreed the need to disband, given the SIGs opinion, and to discuss in the security HC. Greg Favor noted that TGs are under HCs/ICs and not SIGs so no change to the TGs. see votes, below
  • Proposal to start a Crypto SIG, and close the Crypto TG
    • currently two crypto TGs active, PQC and HAC, but when they finish there wont be a committee to discuss and track crypto related developments. Crypto TG has always been this, but doesn't fit within RVI policy as TG needs tightly defined charter with deliverables and finite life. Need participation commitment from 3 entities.
    • Agreed the need to disband the crypto TG and start a crypto SIG to be in line with RVI policy. see vote below
  • charter proposal: Cryptography SIG
