Participation and Voting Rights for IME TG

Member participation and voting status are tracked in the table below. Group members wishing to declare an official participation status in this TG and/or to establish an official voting right, should enter their Name, Affiliation, and desired Role.

Since this group is establishing participation status and voting rights for the first time, no further actions are needed other than adding a new entry to the table below with your name, affiliation and desired role. This needs to be done by 31st Jan 2025.

After this date, if you are joining this group and you desire Participant status with voting rights, then email the chair and vice-chair that you would like to participate as a voter. Also, when you join the next meeting, introduce yourself to the chairs and the rest of the TG.

For each Official meeting, a column will be added afterward, titled with the meeting date, to record participation and updated Voting Status.

This table should not include email addresses as it will be publicly viewable.

In the table below, indicates that RISC-V International staff have confirmed the individual's membership with a valid entry at lists.riscv.org.

The indicates that the individual was not identified and must contact help@riscv.org to verify and confirm RISC-V membership.

The voting policy is defined in the RISC-V Policies Procedures document.

Participant

Active contributor and voting member of the workgroup.
Voting status is tracked in the Voting Status column, and criteria for maintaining voting status are outlined below.
Obligations include attending Official meetings and voting on major Technical Committee questions, work item proposals, and spec drafts.

Notes:

Single Voter Rule: Each entity (company/organization) can have only one voting member. Participants from the same entity should decide who will hold voting status (and reflect this in the above table).
Individual Members: Individual participants can vote and represent themselves. However, if they work for a RISC-V member entity, they are treated as part of that entity for voting purposes and should enter their Affiliation as being with that entity.

Observer

Non-voting participant.
Registration is optional but ensures access to documents, meeting attendance, and the ability to submit comments.

Voting: Member is in good standing and eligible to vote.
Probation: Member cannot vote due to one of the following:

Initial criteria for voting not yet met.
Lost voting rights and not yet reinstated.
None/Blank: Member is either an Observer or a Participant but not the designated voter for their entity.

Voting rights may be removed per Section 2B, item #4 of the policy for:

Inactivity: Missing 2 out of 3 consecutive Official meetings (in-person, virtual, or correspondence). Attending any Official meeting in a multi-meeting week counts for the entire week.
Failure to Vote: Not voting on any Proposal, Stable, or Freeze Milestone ballots.
